Site Sharing
Radio Access Network Sharing ("RAN sharing")/Network Consolidation is the current focus of activity of the five UK mobile phone operators and results in telecoms operators sharing one site, whether it be with seperate or combined equipment.
O2 and Vodafone have a site sharing agreement, T-Mobile and Hutcison 3G have a RAN sharing agreement and T-Mobile and Orange have merged their UK businesses to form "everything everywhere". The aim is to save operational costs.
TPCL can advise clients on the implications of this and negotiate new terms where appropriate. In the event of operator requests we can advise on the validity of break notices, the interpretation of assignment and sharing clauses and on group company rights. In the event of termination we can assist and advise on dilapidations.
