Wayleaves
TPCL can negotiate terms for telecoms and other utility companies to install ducts and cables across land. The benefit of the rights will be reflected in the appropriate consideration and/or compensation.
BT or other fixed line telecoms operators may want to run fibre through a building to a rooftop. BT and other telecoms back-haul providers always ask for a separate wayleave to supply their customers. Whilst consideration is not always appropriate when they are serving a landlord's tenant, the form of wayleave does not have to take BT's standard form. The landlord needs to protect his property interests.
